Minister of Health and Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa stated that the government will prioritize filling urgent vacancies when recruiting graduates into the public service.
Responding to questions at the cabinet media briefing yesterday (05), he noted that while figures such as 30,000 or 35,000 have been mentioned, not all graduates will be recruited.
He emphasized that the process will focus on existing vacancies and acknowledged the presence of underutilized graduates in the public sector. A separate committee will be appointed to address this issue and determine the necessary recruitments.
