SCHOLARSHIP NOTICE 

Application for Vishwa Yathra Scholarships to University Students Based on the GCE.A/L Exam 2023 (2024)

– Employees’ Trust Fund Board (ETFB)

• Financial Grant: Rs. 25,000/-

Basic Eligibility Criteria:

1. The student must have sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in 2023 and been selected and registered at a university.

2. Both school and external candidates who sat for the Advanced Level Examination and
   are under the age of 23 are eligible to apply for this benefit.

3. At the time of sitting for the Advanced Level Examination (February 2023), the
   parent/guardian must have been an active member of the Employees’ Trust Fund. To
   apply for this benefit in 2023, contributions must have been continuously paid from
   February 2023 to January 2024 on behalf of the member.

4. For children of active members registered under self-employment, contributions must
   have been continuously paid for the 36 months proceeding the month of the
   examination. (From February 2019 to January 2024)

5. If both parents are members of the fund, only one parent should submit the application.

6. If the student has already received a grant for a vocational training course, this grant is
   not applicable.
